【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationoftheKappanumberofpulp.TheKappanumberisanindicationofthelignincontentorbleachabilityofpulp.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoallkindsofchemicalpulpsandsemi-chemicalpulpswithintheKappanumberrange1to100.ForpulpswithaKappanumberexceeding100,usethechlorine-consumptionprocedure(ISO3260)todescribethedegreeofdelignification.Toachievethegreatestprecisionandaccuracy,thesamplesizeshouldbeadjustedsothattheconsumptionofpermanganatefallsbetween20%and60%oftheamountadded.NOTEThereisnogeneralandunambiguousrelationshipbetweentheKappanumberandthelignincontentofpulp.Therelationshipvariesaccordingtothewoodspeciesanddelignificationprocedure.AllcompoundsoxidizedbyKMnC>4,notonlylignin,willincreasetheconsumptionofKMnC>4,andtherebyincreasetheKappanumber(see[7]).IftheKappanumberistobeusedtoderiveanindexofpulplignincontent,specificrelationshipswillhavetobedevelopedforeachpulptype.
