【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversnuclear-grade,sinterableuraniumdioxide(UO2)powder.Itappliestouraniumdioxidepowdercontaininguraniumofany235Uconcentrationintheproductionofnuclearfuelpelletsforuseinnuclearreactors.1.2ThisspecificationrecognizesthepresenceofreprocesseduraniuminthefuelcycleandconsequentlydefinesisotopiclimitsforcommercialgradeUO2.SuchcommercialgradeUO2isdefinedsothat,regardingfueldesignandmanufacture,theproductisessentiallyequivalenttothatmadefromunreprocesseduranium.UO2fallingoutsidetheselimitscannotnecessarilyberegardedasequivalentandmaythusneedspecialprovisionsatthefuelfabricationplantorinthefueldesign.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotincludeprovisionsforpreventingcriticalityaccidentsorrequirementsforhealthandsafety.Observanceofthisspecificationdoesnotrelievetheuseroftheobligationtobeawareofandconformtoallinternational,national,orfederal,state,andlocalregulationspertainingtopossessing,shipping,processing,orusingsourceorspecialnuclearmaterial.1.4ThisspecificationrefersexpresslytocalcinedUO2powderbeforetheadditionofanydielubricant,binder,orporeformer.Ifpowderissoldwithsuchadditionsorpreparedaspressfeed,samplingprocedures,allowableimpuritycontents,orpowderphysicalrequirementsmayneedtobemodifiedbyagreementbetweenthebuyerandtheseller.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
